July 2016, students in the Blue Springs School District’s Prime Time program participated in ‘My Community’ tours. Pictured are the tours we gave of the Chicago & Alton Depot.  The tour consisted of multiple stops including Central Park, the Blue Springs Community Garden, the Blue Springs Historical Society’s Depot, the Blue Springs Police Department, Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce and multiple downtown businesses. These tours were made possible through a Truman Heartland Community Foundation grant awarded to the Blue Springs School of Economics to help educate kids on the importance of civic and business partnerships.

Dillingham-Lewis Museum Front Porch Fund

The Dillingham-Lewis House Museum is a seven-room home that was built in 1906 by Morgan Vachel Dillingham. From 1928 - 1947, Miss Narra Lewis resided in the home. In 1976, the home was purchased by Blue Springs Historical Society, Inc.

We are trying to raise enough funds this year to replace the concrete front porch and steps on the Dillingham-Lewis House Museum and add a handicap ramp on the south side of the porch.

Please help us by giving the past a future!

Any donation is appreciated!!
